Name:
"Ally"Breed:
Pit bull mix or pure with poor confirmation
Sex:
Female, unaltered
Age:
10-12 months
Training:
Basic with "place" Command.
Summary:
Those citizens fearful of the American Pit Bull Terrier would think differently
with this dog. Ally is a good housedog for nearly any family. Rescued from the
Pickaway County Shelter as a result of a confiscation from the Circle Area Humane
Society she has lived a tough life. She is still somewhat shy, and needs an owner
willing to spend an hour per week socializing her. Not recommended with a home
full of animals. She needs good one-on-one interaction with owners willing to
exercise and socialize her. She has a lot of potential in the right hands.
Cost:
$300
= no follow-up training/equipment
$500
= a go home lesson, one follow-up private lessons, leash, training collar, and
her placemat.

Name:
"Anna Belle"
Breed:
Lab Mix
Sex:
Female, spayed
Age:
At or near 1 year
Weight:
40 pounds
Training:
Obedient Housedog
Summary:
A shy dog with lots of energy rescued from the Pike County Shelter, Anna Belle
has a skin disorder that is not contagious and may or may not be permanent. Her
medication will cost nearly $30/month and an occasional scraping by the veterinarian.
This dog has all of the qualities of a full size Labrador Retriever in a compact
size. Her scenting capabilities are wonderful, and a good candidate for hunting.
Very warm and affectionate, but will need to be crated until introduced to the
home. She will absolutely eat your remote control if left unsupervised. Proper
introduction and gradual freedom in home should quell this problem. She is great
with young kids, good potty training, and lots of potential.
Best
Match: Young active couple looking for an only dog, small retrieving dog, those
who love to play, household with attentive owners (chewing), and well behaved
children. She will play endlessly or sleep quietly in her kennel with equal enthusiasm
so long as her praise is there.
Cost:
$500
= no follow-up training/equipment
$900 = a go home lesson, four follow-up
private lessons, leash, training collar, and her placemat.

Name:
"Able"
Breed:
Labrador Retriever
Sex:
Male, altered, dew claws removed
Age:
at or near 2 years
Weight:
75 pounds
Training:
Obedient Housedog
Summary:
"Able" is another rescue from the Pike County Animal Shelter. Immense
drive and capable of self exercising with a fenced in yard and a heavy duty Jolly
Ball, "Able" is a hulk. Very strong and a very shady past, those seeking
to purchase "Able" should certainly consider the follow-up training.
Able will try to be dominant with other companion animals so he is recommended
to be the only dog. He is very affectionate and loves being touched. Good with
my kids (ages 3 and 5), but not recommended due to his strength and ability to
knock over a large adult.
Best
Match: active owners with fenced in yards, consistent discipline, strong confident
owners.
Cost:
$550
= no follow-up training/Equipmet
$950 = a go home lesson, four follow-up private
lessons, leash, training collar, and his placemat.

Name:
"Major"
Breed:
Doberman Pinscher
Sex:
Male, unaltered, dew claws removed
Age:
nearly 1 year
Weight:
55 pounds
Training:
Obedient Housedog, raised for protection work
Summary:
"Major" was procured for my sister as a wedding gift. It was her and
her husband's dream to have a Doberman trained to protect her in his absence.
Later they changed their minds and bought a Pug. This left me with "Major",
and a perfect example of why dog's are not good gift ideas. Major has been raised
to fulfill an obligation of protection work. He has a heavy bite capability, but
no advanced training has been conducted in protection work at this time. "Major"
was violently attacked by a Bull Terrier as a puppy and since that attack his
right ear dropped. He is a very small Doberman procured for a female less than
100 pounds. "Major" needs to be gradually introduced to a home setting
as he will certainly eat your every possession if initially left unsupervised.
The majority of Major's life has been in a kennel, yet he has had a great deal
of socialization. His training regressed due to increased crate time, but has
re-entered a regular workout schedule. We have personally invested thousands of
dollars in "Major" and only seek to sell him because he is not a dog
raised for my family needs and would love to live with a family more to his needs.
He has an open AKC registration; a Russian bloodline stemming from the House of
Hoyt, family background includes Schutzhund I, II, and III titles, police work,
and everything you would look for in a dog of Major's magnitude. He is a wonderful
dog for the right family, and a heartbreaking loss for me to place him. Those
interested must first have a free evaluation with owner to qualify.
Best
Match: young family with a need for feeling safe, fenced yard, sufficient time
to exercise, plenty of human interaction, time to follow initial home introduction.
Owner/s must possess a sincere willingness to follow-up with training and maintaining
a regular workout schedule.
Cost:
$1,400
= no follow-up training/equipment
$2,000 = a go home demonstration and lesson,
four follow-up private lessons, behavioral assistance if needed, leather leash,
training collar, his placemat, toys, a kennel, and 15% discount off boarding "Major"
with Circleville Pet Services llc in the future.
