Scott, Owner Certified Professional Trainer |
Troy
suffered a career ending spinal injury in July 2004 which left him permanently
disabled and unable to return to his previous profession. While spending the next
several months recovering from surgery and undergoing rehabilitation he needed
a new profession...something to use as motivation. It was only natural that his
need for physical activity and passion for dogs would eventually meet. Troy consulted
several medical professionals on the possibilities of pursuing this type of work.
Under the care of the best medical team he could ask for, and with the generous
assistance of the Bureau of Vocational Rehabilitation he spent over 18 months
of strenuous rehabilitation for this endeavor. Troy is now prepared to handle
most any situation. Troy currently owns two dogs Ginger (2 year old Golden Retriever)
and Bear (12+ year old Chow-Chow/ Australian Sheppard mix).
Troy
is a graduate of the Master Trainer program at National K-9. National K-9 was
founded in 1975 and today is regarded as a leader within the fields of dog training,
behavior modification, and dog trainer education. During Troy's residency he studied
in many areas of advanced dog training including basic and advanced obedience,
behavior problem solving, breed characteristics and temperament study, puppy temperament
testing, utility training, personal protection training, scent detection and tracking,
police K-9 training, support dog training for the disabled, kennel management,
and of course dog care.
Troy
is a member of the International
Association of Canine Professionals, the National
K-9 Dog Trainers Association, National
Association of Professional Pet Sitters, The
Circleville Downtown Business Association and the Pickaway
County Chamber of Commerce.

Retail and Supply |
Lea
Dawn taught Music Education in Chillicothe for seven years. She is a graduate
from Ohio University where she holds a Bachelor's Degree in Music Education. Troy
and Lea Dawn are both alumni of the "Ohio University Marching 110" where
they first met in 1993. Due to the immense time commitment essential of all directors,
and the magnetism to be closer to her children, she chose to leave her teaching
career and bring her passion for pets to the staff of Circleville Pet Services
llc.
Lea Dawn was the "spark" behind Circleville Pet Services llc.
She convinced the owner to try pet sitting as an occupation as her aunt has successfully
done for 10 years. It didn't take long to watch it grow from an idea to what it
is today, and now Lea Dawn is happy to work alongside her husband as they expand
Circleville Pet Services llc to include quality pet retail in both our boutique
style storefront located in downtown Circleville, or online to be delivered by
our staff, picked up later, or shipped via UPS.
Lea Dawn is an active member
in the US Army Reserve Band which she has been a part since 1990. She enjoys boating,
hiking, and time with her children.
While her husband specializes in training
dog's, she will specialize in helping owners pamper them.

"Before
considering professional obedience training, first understand that true dog obedience
is a way of life. I say this for one reason.....regardless of who trains your
dog, as the owner, you must be consistent and reinforce the training. No trainer
can give you a remote control for your dog. Your dog will retain his/her training
as long as you make it a way of life for them."
