About US
Circleville Pet Services, located at 1875 Stoneridge Drive features 27 top of the line kennels, a large indoor training room, professional grooming area, a large outdoor training facility, and utility equipment. Our facility is located on 2.88 acres of training land with ample parking, and a staff that is second to none.
Our facility allows us to increase our application of dog training in a more efficient manner, and it allows us more general services to the local public. This state of the art facility has become the new standard for clients looking for top quality pet training and services with peace of mind in their pets care.
Circleville Pet Services llc developed a kennel design that is state of the art in our industry, and was developed from kennel tours in multiple states, books, observations, notes from the National K-9 Master Trainer program, and advice from trainers, kennel owners/operators, technicians, groomers, successful in their field for many years and when asked “what would you change?”…I listened. With a pile of notes, and a drawing on piece of graph paper I went to visit Jeff and Patt Clifton. What derived from that conversation is the very facility we operate from today.
Troy R Scott, CPT - Owner/Certified Professional Trainer
At a very young age Troy found great comfort and peace with dogs. While working with and raising many different species of animals, dogs were always a great source of happiness and serenity. At a young age he learned to accept a certain level of communication with dogs, and that bond has only grown with education and experience.
Graduating from Logan High School Troy then attended Ohio University while also serving in the Ohio Army National Guard for six years then on to actively serving his country for an additional three. Following his service, he accepted a position on a major railroad where he suffered a disabling injury in 2004. Enduring surgery and over eighteen months of strenuous physical therapy Troy began to function with limited mobility and partial feeling in lower extremities.
It was then that he found dogs as a means of motivation to overcome the confines of his disability. With the assistance of the Ohio Bureau of Vocational Rehabilitation, a wonderful medical team, $250, and a great affinity for animals, he started Circleville Pet Services llc in 2005. Starting as an “in-home” pet sitting company Troy has endlessly expanded the company to what it is today.
Troy has earned professional endorsements in basic and advanced obedience, retrieval, scent detection, tracking, personal protection, police k-9 training, and more. He completed his “Master Trainer” training in 2006 at the National K-9 Learning Center. Troy is also a Canine Good Citizen Evaluator for the American Kennel Club.
Amber Roan - Assistant Manager
A local graduate of Circleville High School, Amber enjoys working with both animals and people. Amber assists Lea Dawn in the operational management of the company and is a vital part of the overall operation.
Amber was a childcare provider for a leading daycare in the Circleville area. Her abilities and patience with children were well noted, and after the closing of that facility she was cheerfully welcome to the full time staff of Circleville Pet Services llc. Amber joined the company while we were operating from our Main Street location, and helped expand our services to our current facility.
Amber is the daughter of Christine Roan, who is the president of the Circle Area Humane Society. Her constant association with animals over her life helps with the intuition necessary to care for the animals under our care. She is our primary pet sitter in addition to being the company’s Assistant Manager, and also helps with all other forms of company services and operations.
Amber enjoys time with her loved ones, and her two cats.
